According to reports Burnley FC are moving on Wolves marksman Chris Iwelumo.

The Lancashire Telegraph says Iwelumo could be at Turf Moor as early as next week even if fellow Scot Steven Fletcher does not move the other way.

It was thought the two Scotland internationals would trade places if Fletcher set a new outgoing transfer record.

A £7.5million fee was reported, with Iwelumo arriving at Turf Moor on loan, along with goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.

Iwelumo knew nothing of the proposals earlier in the week, but was at Turf Moor yesterday.

And it has been suggested that a deal for the 31-year-old could be done separately.
