Harry Redknapp is considering making a summer move for £14m rated Everton attacking midfielder Steven Pienaar. The Tottenham boss wants to add the creative South African international to his White Hart Lane squad but may face a fight to persuade David Moyes to capture the 28 year old.

With the north London side hoping to cement fourth spot and the resultant Champions League spot Redknapp hopes to boost his squad with the cash injection that Daniel Levy is ready to cough up. Pienaar has had a wonderful season at Goodison Park and has been linked with a move away from the Toffees.

Manchester United are reportedly also keen on the former Ajax man and the Merseyside club may find it hard to prevent Pienaar from having his head turned by any interest shown by a club able to offer the Champions League football he desires.

Redknapp already has a midfield bursting with flair with the likes of Niko Kranjcar, Luka Modric and Aaron Lennon but the Tottenham manager is after Pienaar who can play a variety of roles across the midfield.
