Stoke star 'wouldn't rule out' move
Stoke keeper Steve Simonsen has admitted he may seek a summer move to secure first-team football.
Simonsen started last season as the Potters' number two behind Thomas Sorensen but the arrival of Asmir Begovic from Portsmouth in January pushed him further down the pecking order.
The Stoke keeper has now confirmed he may seek a summer move as he is eager to play first-team football.
He told the BBC: "The manager has known me a long time and he knows it would benefit me hugely to be playing regular football.
"Whether that comes in the form of a loan move or a permanent move I don't know but I wouldn't rule it out."
Simonsen, who joined Stoke in 2004, signed a new contract at the end of last season and boss Tony Pulis is thought to be hesitant to allow the keeper to leave on a permanent deal, although he may entertain the option of sending the 31-year-old out on loan.
The former Everton shot stopper spent a brief loan spell with Championship side Sheffield United at the end of last season.
