Davies: No talks on Celtic job
Billy Davies today insisted he has had no contact with Celtic over the Parkhead manager’s job.
But his lawyer has hinted the Nottingham Forest gaffer could walk away from the City Ground in the summer – making him a free agent.
Former ******well boss Davies is totally focused on taking the club into the Champion-ship play-offs for the Premiership and back into the English top flight.
Today, though, representative Jim Price admitted the Scot had ambitions to manage a club with a strong European pedigree.
Price told SportTimes: “There has been no contact from Celtic, officially or unofficially.
“However, what I can say is that at this stage in the season is we will be speaking to no other football club.
“Billy is totally focused on taking Nottingham Forest into the play-offs and hopefully getting them promoted.
“What I would say is that Billy is keen to manage in the European arena and to manage at the next level.
“In England there are only so many clubs that you can do that with.
“Celtic are guaranteed European football every season and I have no doubt that the way Billy likes to have his teams play passing football is very much in line with the tradition of how Celtic teams have always taken pride in playing.”

Price also shot down claims that Davies’s status as a former Rangers player would be a barrier to him managing Celtic.
He added: “Kenny Dalglish was on the books at Rangers and he went on to become one of the greatest players Celtic ever had.
“History shows that you don’t have to have a particular history or affinity with a team to do a great job there.”
