Milan how are you settling into life at Liverpool so far?
It's everything I expected it to be because this is a special football club. This is a really big step for my career and we are hoping it will be a good season for the supporters.
Have you had many English lessons from the English players so far and can you understand Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher?
My English is not the best at the moment but it will be. I am learning it and I will be better for it. Steven and Jamie have been great with me and they speak slowly so I can understand them.
What was the main reason for you joining Liverpool?
Simple. Liverpool is the most successful team with a great and proud history. This is one of the best clubs in the world and they have great ambitions for the future which gives me great possibilities for my career. When Liverpool FC wanted to sign me there was only one club I was going to sign for.
Did you know much about the club then before you signed?
Yes. I know Liverpool has won 18 titles which we hope to add to in the future, they have won five European Cups, and have won UEFA Cups, the UEFA Super Cup and FA Cups as well.
Is it true there were other clubs who wanted to sign you before you came here?
Yes, some big clubs, but as I said I wanted to sign for Liverpool. I'm looking to the future now as a Liverpool player.
I imagine the opportunity to play alongside Fernando Torres featured heavily in your decision so how important is it that he stays at Liverpool?
Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Pepe Reina and Fernando are the symbol of this football club. I expect Fernando will stay and that is fantastic news.
When the previous manager left the club did this make you ever reconsider signing for Liverpool?
No. This is a great club and I am proud to be here. For me the most important thing is to play for Liverpool.
How are you finding working with Roy Hodgson?
Very good. He is a nice man and a good manager and I will try to adapt very quickly at Liverpool because we haven't got much time before the start of the season. I need to be ready and improve every day in training and give my best for this team.
What is your best position?
Left midfield, that's the position I prefer to play.
Have you played at Anfield before?
Yes for Standard Liege in 2008. It was a hard game and I came on as a substitute. The best memory I have in Liverpool is when we beat Everton at Goodison Park. I scored and we beat them 2-1 so I have very happy memories From The Liverpool Website
