Capello Casts Doubt on Future With England
Fabio Capello cast doubt on his future as England soccer coach after the World Cup by refusing to rule out a return to Italy at Inter Milan, the Observer reported.
The 63-year-old said he did “not know what will happen” after European champion Inter confirmed its interest in hiring him, the newspaper said. Jose Mourinho is leaving Inter to join Real Madrid.
Capello suggested he’d been unsettled by recent unrest at the Football Association, English soccer’s ruling body, which has seen the departure of Chief Executive Ian Watmore and Chairman David Triesman, the Observer added. He’ll seek talks with the body’s new leadership.
