Default Valencia eye Javier Hernandez on loan from Manchester United

Valencia are interested in securing the signature of Manchester United’s new signing Javier Hernandez on a season-long loan deal, according to reports from Spain on Sunday.

Marca suggest that Los Che have been hugely impressed by the exploits of the Mexico striker during this summer's World Cup, where he netted against both France and Argentina, and want to conclude a deal with the English giants to take the 22-year-old to Spain for a season.

Hernandez moved to Old Trafford for an undisclosed fee, reported to be around £10 million, prior to the tournament in South Africa, and his performances since have alerted a number of high-profile clubs to take a closer look at his abilities.

However, the former Chivas striker has already been granted a work permit to play in English football next season, and this, coupled with his impressive play for his national team, may mean the Red Devils are reluctant to allow him to leave, having just adding him to their squad.

On the other hand, the prospect of a season on loan playing regular first-team football for a club in the Champions League and upper reaches of La liga may potentially be too good for the player's development for United to turn down.

Los Che are very much in the hunt for attacking options following the departurse of David Villa, David Silva, and Nikola Zigic in the past month.

They have already signed Roberto Soldado in a £6.6 million (€8m) deal from Getafe, and have been linked with a host of other names including Juventus forward David Trezeguet.
