Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero has approached director Roberto Bettega and requested that the players wish to enter into training for their midweek match against Napoli a day earlier than anticipated.

The Bianconeri will be in ritiro as of Tuesday, instead of the scheduled Wednesday, as they prepare to face the Azzurri on Thursday night.

"Juventus will be in training as of Tuesday, a day earlier than what was scheduled," Bettega explained to Tuttosport. "This is so the players can be ready for Thursday night's match against Napoli.

"This is neither my choice nor the Juventus management, but the players.

"At the end of the match, Del Piero asked to speak to me privately and proposed this idea. The team has the will to stick together to confront this issue and clear up any lingering thoughts," added Bettega.
