Fox's rib not broken
Ex-Walsall and Celtic defender Danny Fox could be fit for Burnley's 'six-pointer' with Wigan Athletic at the weekend following a big injury scare during 'The Clarets' 2-1 home defeat to Wolves on Saturday.
Fox needed oxygen pitchside after suffering breathing difficulties and a suspected broken rib before heading off to hospital.
Burnleys's official website www.burnleyfootballclub.com report following his hospital check-up Fox has been given the all-clear and could now recover in time to face the Latics at the DW Stadium on Saturday, a must win game for Burnley. The Clarets are now trailing safety by 3 points and have an inferior goal difference compared with Wolves and West Ham United their two closest rivals. However Wigan are just 4 points clear of Burnley and have a goal difference which would be cancelled out if 'The Clarets' can gain their first away of the season next week.
