Oldham 3-0 Bolton Wanderers
A hat-trick from teenager Tom Eaves was enough to see Oldham pull off a shock 3-0 victory over Premier League outfit Bolton.
Eaves came off the bench in the first half and opened the scoring within three minutes of replacing the injured Warren Feeney.
The 18-year-old then added a second goal three minutes before the break with a low shot that left Jussi Jaaskelainen with no chance.
If Bolton were hoping to get back into the game after the break they were dealt a massive blow when Eaves completed his hat-trick after 56 minutes.
A lucky break allowed the teenager to coolly finish past Jaaskelainen and ensure that he picked up the match ball.
With the game safely won, Oldham player-manager Paul Dickov sent himself on for the final 15 minutes and although he couldn’t get on the scoresheet himself, his side saw out the rest of the game, despite Martin Petrov hitting the crossbar, to complete an impressive victory.
Bolton Wanderers: Jaaskelainen; Ricketts (Steinsson 46), Cahill, Knight, Robinson; Joey O'Brien (Mark Davies 46), Holden (Elmander 46), Muamba (Cohen 60), Petrov; Kevin Davies (Blake 70), Taylor (Chung-Yong 60)
