Seasiders in for Chelsea star
Blackpool have entered the race to sign Chelsea defender Jack Cork and hope to pip Burnley to his signature.
Cork impressed while on loan at Turf Moor last season and Clarets boss Brian Laws is keen to take him back even though they will be in the Championship next season.
The midfielder has also said he would be open to a move but now that Blackpool have entered the frame it could change matters.
"I want to see what the feedback is (at Chelsea)," said Cork. "Maybe if Burnley come in for me in the summer I'll have to really, really think about it.
"I know next year we'll have a really strong team, especially if we keep a lot of the players. The financial situation is good and it's a really good club.
"I can really see Burnley bouncing back."
Seasiders chief Ian Holloway has cash to spend but is also looking to utilise the loan market and hopes to land Cork for 12 months with a view to a permanent deal.
