SAM ALLARDYCE has told Paul Robinson that it is not too late to gatecrash Fabio Capello’s World Cup plans.

Blackburn boss Allardyce says he is “baffled” that Paul Robinson has yet to play under Capello. Robinson, 30, has not added to his 41 caps since October 2007. But Allardyce believes his *international experience makes him a must for South Africa.

Robinson returns to his former club Tottenham today looking to *inspire Rovers to only their second away win of the campaign. And *Allardyce reckons a clean sheet at White Hart Lane will strengthen his claims for a return to the *England squad.

The Rovers manager said: “I have to say I’m pretty baffled he has not *been picked.

“I say that because of the *experience he has got and the way he is playing for us.
