Dalglish: Blackburn fans realistic about expectations
Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish has praised Blackburn Rovers fans over not putting pressure on their players.
Even after last season's impressive campaign, Dalglish is confident Rovers fans won't get carried away.
“I think the fans at Blackburn, their expectations are well managed,” he told the Lancashire Telegraph. “They are realistic, they know what’s going on.
“Certainly at the start of the season you know who you’re competing against. There are two or three leagues in the Premier League. There are a select few going for the title, maybe a slightly bigger band going for the Champions League spots and a wider group going for the Europa League.
“Then there’s a group who may be favourites for relegation, but you always get someone surprising.
“You just hope that you’re not in the group trying to avoid relegation, and I don’t see Blackburn being in that group."
