Arsenal Transfer Scenario
With the rumor arising that Arsene Wenger has been delegated 55 million for the upcoming transfer window I had a few ideas pop into my head and I was wondering what the value of these players would be.
Selling:
Carlos Vela
Bendtner
Ju-Young Park
Chamakh
Arshavin
Rosicky
Diaby
Mertesacker
Squillaci
Gibbs
Buying:
Maicon
Raul Albiol
Chris Samba
Gary Cahill
Eden Hazard/Mario Gotze/ Gaitan(Benefica)
Marko Marin
Podolski OR
Benzema
I understand that these purchases may not be the most realistic possible but could you imagine
Starting: Scez, Maicon(RB), Samba(CB), Cahill(CB), Vermaelen(LB), Albiol(CDM), Wilshere (LM), Hazard/Gaitan, Van Persie, Benzema, Gervinho
(More experience and physical prowess)
Subs: Sagna, Song, Ramsey/Coquelin, Miyaichi, Chamberlain, Walcott, Fabianski
Up and Comers: Afobe, Aneke, Jenkinson, Lansbury, Miquel, Bellerin, Coquelin, Jon Toral, Frimpong
I understand that this is an extremely unlikely scenario for us to acquire players like that on defense given the age. But this scenario leads me also the following question:
How would the introduction of more experienced players affect our youngsters whose newly acquired playing time would likely be shortened? developmental wise? (Ox, Miyaichi, Coquelin, Ramsey)? and how would it affect our actual youngsters (Toral, Afobe, Aneke etc)

Hey man,
The prices below are what I believe would be a fair price to sell these players for. Although I am a Manchester United fan, the whole topic of English Premier League is a high priority of mine!
Carlos Vela - £7-13M (been playing well in La Liga)
Bendtner - £5-14M
Ju-Young Park - £6M-10M
Chamakh - £5M-8M (Anything as was free so profit gained)
Arshavin - £3M-8M
Rosicky - £2M-5M
Diaby - £8M
I removed the last three off your list as I think they still are good enough for the Arsenal team, Gibbs is first choice left back after Clichy quit for money bags City.
Arsenal are in need of a LB, creative centre midfielder, and a good striker to partner/take the strain of RVP.
Left back choice is easy position, Fábio Coentrão (Real Madrid).
Centre Midfielder again easy, Mario Götze (Dortmund)
Striker is always a hard one, but I'd go with Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)/Lucas Barrios (Dortmund)
If new experienced players are brought into the squad for a first team role then this will obviously hamper the youngsters game play time. However there is always the possibility of loaning them out so they get more PL experience and then return to Arsenal to push for a first team role. The currently crop of youngsters need experience in the league or even championship football for a while (Afobe, Toral and Aneke spring to mind).

Looks like its likely that we've snapped up Podolski. This seems like a typical Arsenal buy (although the most pretigious of our buys) considering he should be around 16MM pounds, and much cheaper than strikers like Lavezzi, Cavani, Llorente, Pato, etc.
I like Hazard, but that likely means a wing player as to go right? I'm thinking Walcott moves on, especially with the presence of AOC, Gervinho, and soon to be amazing, Ryo. Who knows though, maybe Hazard can be our Fabregas replacement and pull the strings as a central attacking mid?
I agree that we could also shore up the defense as well. Would be nice to see a midfield with Song and someone like M'Vlia destroying the middle of the pitch. M'Vlia also has nice passing / attacking skills and would make the midfield balanced. Estaban Grenero gets thumbs up as a great DM too.
As for the backline, Vertoghen from Ajax seems like a good versatile player who could also play DM well if necessary. I agree that Albiol would have been a good buy, but I would have really liked Chris Samba. Too bad he's off to Russia. And why not Alex? He and Vermalean would have been an interesting combo.
