Wenger - Empty seats a worry at World Cup
Arsène Wenger says he will take some unforgettable memories home from South Africa but concedes the number of empty seats is a concern.
Only four of the first 14 games have seen capacity crowds and there were over 15,000 empty seats for New Zealand's 1-1 draw with Slovakia on Tuesday. But that isn't a reflection on the passion of South Africans.
"The hospitality of people here and their kindness is absolutely amazing," said Wenger in an exclusive interview with Arsenal.com.
"Also it is new for us that we are going to games that are not completely sold out. It is a worry because people here cannot afford it and you want football to be a popular sport.
"But it is amazing how proud and happy the people are to be the organisers. I will never forget on the first day when we travelled through the city how the people were dancing for Bafana Bafana.
"That is a fantastic picture I will keep forever in my mind."
