Van, the man, returns to practice
Arsenal striker Robin van Persie will return to full training this week after missing five months with ankle ligament damage.
The Dutch international suffered the injury during a November friendly against Italy, but Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is encouraged that they will have their star back when he returns to match fitness.
"We sent our fitness coach to Holland where he has been doing his rehabilitation and we are told he looks very sharp," Wenger told The Guardian.
"He will be back this week but we have to wait at least a month."
After a 2-0 victory over West Ham on Saturday, Arsenal are sitting in first place in the Premier League with seven games remaining, and in a month’s time van Persie could be able to help the Gunners in a championship run.
Before his injurt, van Persie was in fine form for Arsenal, scoring eight goals in the 15 games he appeared in.
