Arsene Wenger: ‘Bored’ Aaron Ramsey Confident He Will Make Arsenal Return
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that broken leg victim Aaron Ramsey is “bored” of life on the sidelines already but is determined to return to action for the Gunners.
The 19-year-old suffered a double leg fracture in a tackle with Ryan Shawcross at Stoke City just last month and is expected to be out of action for six to nine months.
The north Londoners have been impressive in his absence, beating Burnley, Porto and Hull City to remain on course in both the Premier League and the Champions League.
However, Wenger admitted he had spoken to the injured Wales international and felt he was finding it difficult watching from the sidelines.
“I spoke to Aaron [Ramsey] before we played Porto on Tuesday, but when you go from flying on the pitch to lying on a bed, you can only be bored,” he told the Sunday Mirror.
“He is confident that he will come back. He is determined, but at the moment it is a problem of patience, and when you are 19 patience is not your first quality.”
Ramsey made seven starts for Arsenal this season, before injury ended his campaign, while both manager and players have subsequently insisted his injury will help spur them onto glory this season.
